Deer Hunts
All of our hunts are 3 full days of hunting. You will arrive at your hotel destination the afternoon before your hunt to
meet with your guide. Your guide will show your hunting party the properties and stands that they will hunt before dark. A
game plan will be developed as to driving arrangements for the next day. From this point you will stay in contact with your
guide via meet up times at the hotel and cell phone contact. Your guide will spend the remainder of your hunt helping to
develop strategies including other stand or property options, tracking and recovery of game. Your guide will also handle the
field care of your trophy including helping with pictures, field dressing, caping and hauling your animal to the meat
processor. The cost of butchering and or shipping of the game meat is the responsibility of the hunter and not covered in
hunt price.
Hunt Specifics
All hunts are 3 full days of hunting (arrival the afternoon prior to start date)
Cost: $1200 (Regardless of weapon or season)
Guide service includes:
Stands placed in pre scouted areas, guide available for game recovery, and field care of trophy and transport to
processor. Guides will help determine a change in strategy such as moving stands or properties etc.
Bag Limit: One buck and one doe.
For the harvest of does however, advanced permission must be given because some properties will have a restriction on
doe harvest. Example: If you would like to harvest a doe please inform your guide first as he may need to move you to a
different property to do that.
Minimum Standard Buck
On all of our properties a minimum standard buck should be 8-10 point and outside the ears on inside spread. This
should put our minimum standard at approximately 120”-130” In many cases you may want to let this class of deer walk as this
is the minimum size deer.
Notice : No mule deer does may be taken in the state of Oklahoma, however your Buck tag is good for a Mule deer or Whitetail so that if the opportunity arises you may take a Mule deer buck without asking permission. Our Minimum Standard on Mule deer score is 150’.
STANDS
You will be hunting in one of three stand options by Rivers Edge brand equipment including a Ladder stand, a strap on
bowhunting stand, or a popup blind. In some cases you may be set up in a makeshift brush blind if the need arises to make a
temporary setup to intercept a particular deers movement. In all cases it is important for hunters to bring rain gear as we
do not use enclosed box blinds with windows etc.
